Yep, I’m the guy that’s been a part of the Penn State Sports Network for over 3 decades. I love Penn State and everything it stands for….along with the entire Centre Region (which should, IMHO, include Blair County…) I’m a proud grandfather…yep, grandfather….and still love to read, fly, and pound out some rock and roll on my keyboards. Not all at the same time, though. And I love to help around the house (my wife Shirley made me write that).
Woof! My mom is Amy-Lynn. (She rescues dogs like me!) She’s from VT, where she worked in radio for a dog’s age. Or like bunches of dogs’ ages. She’s been in radio over 25 years and stations of all formats. And now she’s here – at Seven Mountains Media as Production Director and middays (you can hear her 10-2, Monday through Friday) here at 3WZ. She seems to really like it here. She’s always telling me how happy she is. Bark, woof, uff!
Its easier to list what positions I have not held in radio than to list the various jobs I’ve done! The best part…I love it all, from sales and marketing to promotions and now on-air. After working everywhere from PA to Texas to New York and back to PA, I’m proud to have called 3WZ my home twice in my life: 30 years ago when I moved to Centre County and again 4 years ago when I rejoined the station. Kids? I’ve got four of them plus a grand baby, a great husband, two dogs, two cats and a very old house that constantly needs repairs. When I get down time, you’ll find me curled up with a book, gardening, antiquing or refinishing something in my workshop.

I was one of those people who made their living having fun by doing something they totally enjoyed. As far back as high school, I was hooked when I won a contest as “Miss Christmas Seal” then proceeded to do commercials for the American Lung Association. That was my beginning and for over 35 years I had the distinct pleasure of reacting to an audience whether on the radio, TV, as an emcee or just performing at many community service events.
